Over the past year, I've been going for a photo more or fewer every meal that I've eaten. But I'm not sending those photos to Instagram sport burner diet pills or Facebook -- instead, I'm uploading them to a diet app called Rise, which has solved the problem to consume better and lose weight.
Rise works by connecting its users with diet coaches taking a glance at their client's meals and provide feedback. That feedback varies from telling you "Good job!" to creating suggestions about what you can do better. In my case, a lot of what my diet coach wrote back fell under that latter category -- i.e., telling me I need to eat more greens, less starchy vegetables, and to scratch fried foods and desserts from my diet.
It's one part education and something part accountability, as coaches first help users know very well what they're doing wrong, and just how they are able to make meaningful changes over time.
Rise founder Suneel Gupta created the app in part based on his own family's experience coping with diet and weight loss when he would be a kid. (Disclosure: Suneel may be the husband of my former colleague Leena Rao, who first got me into the app.) His parents were experiencing maintaining a healthy diet, and wound up finally finding a dietitian that will use creating a plan around their South Asian diet.
Using the app, Rise is seeking to bring exactly the same quantity of personalized instruction to users in a fraction of the items it might cost to allow them to hire a diet coach by themselves. Not only that, however they are connecting using their coaches every single day, instead of following up once per week.
For diet coaches, the woking platform permits them to serve multiple clients at any given time in their spare time, as opposed to just a couple each day. My coach, Jo, was your hospital providing diet advice before joining Rise. Now she's able to help dozens of clients improve their daily eating habits.
Obviously, it's still up to the user to slim xtreme gold capsule really implement the changes. After gaining back a few pounds, I'm back on track-- Although Jo still isn't thrilled with my Sunday dinner of the cheeseburger and fries.
